3RD DISTRICT REPORT | TREVOR JAMISON

I AM HONORED TO SERVE as the new CPF 3rd District Vice President, a role I humbly accepted at the 49th Biennial Convention. It is a privilege to represent and support our dedicated members.

A special congratulations to our brother, President Mario Gardea of Stockton Firefighters, Local 456, who secured the most votes in his race for San Joaquin Board of Supervisors District 1. His election to this influential position is a tremendous win for our community and a testament to his leadership and dedication. We are thrilled to see one of our own making such an impact.

In West Sacramento, the Local 522 firefighters achieved a significant milestone by successfully passing Measure O, a sales tax initiative. This victory, supported by the CPF Political Team, Firefighters Print & Design, and Firestar, allowed the city to reopen Engine 45 after a 12-year closure! This remarkable achievement highlights the power of collaboration and advocacy. The West Sacramento firefighters expressed heartfelt gratitude for the teamwork that made this possible.

Meanwhile, the Roseville Firefighters of Local 1592 are preparing to move into their brand-new Station 8. Like many of our brothers and sisters, they face challenges related to staffing and the need for additional stations to accommodate the city's rapid growth. President Gabe Michael shared, “Our response times exceed 11 minutes in several parts of the city due to expansion. We are eager to work with city management and the council to find solutions and build the stations we need.”

As we look forward to 2025, I encourage you to reach out to me with any CPF-related questions. I am here to assist and guide you as we continue our work together. Wishing you all a safe and prosperous year ahead!
